Overview

Domio is an independent, community-built iOS app for controlling Indigo home automation systems. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

Data We Do Not Collect

The app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Specifically:

• No analytics or tracking SDKs
• No advertising frameworks
• No crash reporting services
• No user accounts or registration
• No data shared with third parties

Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following locally on your device only:

• Indigo API Key — stored securely in the iOS Keychain. Used to authenticate with your Indigo server.
• Reflector ID — stored in local app preferences. Used to connect to your Indigo server via the Indigo Reflector service.
• AI API Key (optional) — if you use the voice assistant feature, your AI provider API key is stored in the iOS Keychain.
• App preferences — theme, room layout, voice settings, and other UI preferences stored locally.

All credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain, which provides hardware-backed encryption. No credentials are ever transmitted to anyone other than the services you configure (your Indigo server, and optionally your chosen AI provider).

Network Communication

The app communicates directly with:

• Your Indigo server — via the Indigo Reflector service (encrypted WebSocket connection) or your local network.
• AI provider (optional) — if you enable the voice assistant, voice queries are sent to the AI provider you configure (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic). These providers have their own privacy policies.

No data is sent to the app developer or any other third party.

Microphone & Speech Recognition

If you use the voice assistant feature, the app requests access to your microphone and Apple's on-device speech recognition. Voice audio is processed locally using Apple's Speech framework and is not recorded or stored.

Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
